John Creighton

Inspired by nature, driven by craft.

John is a Philadelphia based furniture maker whose work bridges the worlds of natural building and fine woodworking. His pieces reflect a lifelong relationship with wood, from constructing log homes in Alaska to crafting elegant, one of a kind furniture from salvaged materials.

Before focusing on furniture, John spent years as a natural builder, creating timber frames, straw-clay structures, and log buildings rooted in sustainability and craft. Today, he brings that same care and respect for materials to the intimate scale of furniture design.

Each of his pieces is shaped by hand and guided by the story of the wood itself, often reclaimed from historic barns or fallen urban trees. The result is work that feels timeless and deeply connected to place, blending traditional joinery with modern design.

John’s furniture embodies the quiet elegance of natural materials and the integrity of true craftsmanship.
